recently we did some corporate portraits for our friends at Focus Legal.
We have been photographing the management team of the Bureau of Health for some time now. Recently a Dr. Jean-Frederic Levesque was appointed as the new Chief Executive and came to us for his corporate photo.
This ensures that his images matches the rest of the team.
As Dr. Levesque only wears his glasses sometime we decided to do some photos with and without glasses and let him choose his favorite image afterwards.
So should you have your photo taken with or without glasses? It's really a matter of personal choice. If you think people will recognize you without glasses then go ahead and try it without them. on the other hand if you always wear glasses we suggest you also wear them for the photoshoot.
Photographing with glasses can be tricky as there are reflections and glasses can cause some distortions. However we have a lot of experience and always ensure we find the best angle for you whether you are wearing glasses or not.
Typically we do a headshot which is head and shoulders or a full length portrait. But sometimes a 3/4 length portrait works even better.
Angela , the director at Health Practice Solutions came to the studio to get some updated portraits for her website and bio. She brought a few different outfits with her to get a variety of looks and we quickly found that a 3/4 length portrait suited her best.
Angela has a great smile and we believe the images convey her drive and energy. .
Ian is a governance and sustainability adviser and needed some images that would be used for quite a diverse target audience.
The images range from relaxed to formal as Ian deals with both environmental activists and CEO's of large corporations.
Here are just a couple of examples of the images that Ian selected.
I always enjoy seeing the results of our work out there and how it is being used by companies. It is a good reminder just how important it is to always do the best job possible.
It's also important to see what the final product looks once it is printed. It's valuable feedback and allows us to plan future shoots both in terms of post production but also in how to pose and arrange people as in this case.
Here is the Chadwick Lindfield real estate flyer that was just delivered to our studio.
So all that looks fine, however logistically it's not always possible to get all the staff from a office into the studio at the same time. Especially when staff travel frequently, are on the road or are just hard to pin down.
We understand that and therefore often photograph staff individually when it suits them to come to the studio and then create a team photo by combining the individual images together on one photograph.
In addition this enables us to add or remove a staff members as required without having to get all the staff back into the studio for a new staff photo when someone leaves or joins the team.
We are all about helping our clients to save money and making the process as easy as possible.
A couple of lovely ladies from Mahon Property Partners came to the studio today to get their corporate portraits taken.
I recently picked up a copy of the Century 21 Cordeau Marshall magazine and came across a whole collection of corporate head shots I have done for the C21 staff over the years.
It's great to see the images being used to create such a strong impact.
Today I had the pleasure of photographing the entire female team of Zilver Lining a Specialist Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery Practice and long time client.
In order to get the right look we hired a makeup artist and all the ladies had their hair and makeup done. We went for a softer and corporate look rather than a full glamour makeup to reflect the professional nature of the images.
While most of our clients do their own hair & makeup (at least the ladies) and that is totally fine we can also recommend using a professional hair and makeup artist, especially for a larger group. Everyone gets to feel special and enjoy the experience. It will show through in the images too :)
Everyone brought in an outfit change to create a second look, we went for a classic black and white portrait look. The contrasting dark background and white shirts creates a striking image.
Paula from Chadwick Real Estate in Turramurra came in today to get her corporate head shot updated.
We went with a standard formal head shot as well as a more relaxed black & white head shot which will feature on the Chadwick Real Estate website along with all the other team photos we have done for Chadwick.
Large team corporate photos look professional, up-to-date and can really add credibility to a business. However, a large team photo can be difficult to organize and difficult to photograph due to the space constraints of the studio, getting the whole team together for an appointment and making sure everyone is happy with their image.
Typically, you may eventually get your group photo done, but what happens when you need to add a staff member or a staff member leaves the team? Re-shooting can be costly if you factor in the time of getting everyone back to the studio.
The solution is to create a composite team photo like we did for this office of real estate agents. Each agent comes to us for their individual head shot and full length portrait. Everything is shot on a white background and then deep etched to give a perfect cut-out of the image. If team photo is required we can combine the individual images to create a large composite team photo. we can even create several different team photos such as a sales team photo or a property management team photo etc.
And if a staff person leaves it's easy enough to remove a person and create a new team photo at a minimum expense, and it also caters to individual portrait needs. Great for trainers, teachers, board of directors, financial and various corporate teams.
